Jean R. Beers Scholarship Brunch

SWE Connecticut (CT) is proud to share that we awarded our Jean R. Beers scholarship in May, at a brunch celebration held annually. SWE CT began our scholarship program in 1984, renaming it the Jean R. Beers scholarship in 1987 to honor the legacy of a pioneering SWE CT member who was passionate about making sure the next generation of aspiring female engineers had access to resources not available to her. Since inception, SWE CT has awarded over 35 scholarships nearly annually to a deserving female student studying a STEM discipline. This year’s recipient, Alara Degirmenci, is a student at Yale University studying Computer Science. Congratulations to Alara and all the applicants who are doing amazing work! The FY20 Jean R. Beers scholarship application is now posted! Click on the Jean R. Beers Scholarship page on the top left of this page for application details!

Welcome!
